The Radio Oh la la webradio has just been beefed up with a few new acts, including some Jacqueline Taïeb and the Amsterdam Beat Club, a musical blind date that turned into peace and love, and some love and wine by The Lovers, a wonderful, tongue-in-cheek duet.
If you have any French-language music that you think suits the Radio Oh la la bill, that is in French and retro-like, please contact me!
Here’s a dolled up Michèle Richard telling you with her French Canadian accent to come on honey, let’s go go! Podcast No. 17 not only features La Richard, but the garage of Jacqueline Taïeb & The Amsterdam Beat Club, the bopping of Phonoboy , the jive of Dany Brillant, the rockin’ of Rock Falair and the swaying of Petula Clark. Get yourself a fitting beverage, find a comfy seat and turn it up! If I were you, that’s what I’d do.
Jacqueline Taïeb & The Amsterdam Beat Club – 7 heures du soir
Phonoboy – C’est ma vie
Dany Brillant – Suzette
Rock Falair – Rock Monsieur
Michèle Richard – Les boîtes à gogo
Petula Clark – Un doigt de champagne

Although Claude François aka Cloclo is not really a heavy hitter on Radio Oh la la – I’m still looking for a lot of stuff by him – I have a story about Cloclo to tell.
One of my business partners said his nanny had old records she wanted to get rid of. Like any self-respecting DJ, I had to see for myself, because you never know. I scored a bunch of Claude François LPs and singles, including a signed copy of “Comme d’habitude”. Not bad at all!
