Although Claude François aka Cloclo is not really a heavy hitter on Radio Oh la la – I’m still looking for a lot of stuff by him – I have a story about Cloclo to tell.
One of my business partners said his nanny had old records she wanted to get rid of. Like any self-respecting DJ, I had to see for myself, because you never know. I scored a bunch of Claude François LPs and singles, including a signed copy of “Comme d’habitude”. Not bad at all!

Every twist band needs their very own twist theme and Viens dansez le twist is what the guys from Les Chaussettes Noires cooked up back in 1961. Watch lead singer Eddy Mitchell move all over the place for the folks at home. Look at that saxophone player go! Oh, and a “pick-up” in French (and in a bunch of other languages) is a record player.
