Winter in Saint-Tropez

Just before the dance floor of De Nieuwe Anita was filled with people, a friend showed up with some artificial snow and I had lots of fun with it.

I literally and figuratively warmed up the dance floor with some 60s and some cheesy numbers (Joe Dassin and Dalida), then DJ Guuzbourg joined in and got everyone all sweaty and started playing the air guitar. Upstairs in the foyer that was hotter than ever, with Cowboy & Henk playing the best in happy snappy French singles.

I want to personally thank the many people that always come to my parties, the people that came from far away just to party and everyone else who make these evenings a success. Without you I’d have no reason to throw a party. You kick derrière!

First, this rare photo of famous Dutch singer Liesbeth List singing with Serge Gainsbourg (thanks Guuzbourg!). Then, we have winter as the main theme running through Podcast No. 31, although sparingly since most of you get bombarded with way too much of this normally. I decided to keep it low key, retro, snowy, with a hint of Christmas. Think of these songs like gifts, one more relaxed for the parents, one for grandma, one for the boisterous kids, etc. Just use your imagination!

Just before the end of the year, I was in the mood for a ‘classic’ edition of the Radio Oh la la bash, classic meaning no high flying special guests, but some local kick derriere DJing nonetheless! And so Winter in Saint-Tropez at the De Nieuwe Anita on 13 December 2008 will feature DJ Guuzbourg (who is getting famous!) and yours faithfully DJ Natashka as well as Nieuwe Anita regulars Cowboy & Henk.

There will also be cocktails, champagne and films! And lovely people and couches to sit on and dancing and decorations and more!
